"Moctezuma's Garden" recreates the legendary lush gardens of Aztec Emperor Moctezuma. It features a zoo with animals from Central and South America and an aquarium dedicated to the fascinating manatee, known for its social nature.
Moctezuma’s Garden: legend says that when Hernan Cortés entered the great city of Tenochtitlan, he encountered Aztec Emperor Moctezuma, and saw that he had lush and beautiful gardens, with animals in it. Moctezuma, being an emperor with fine interests, had animals brought from all over Central and South America, and created amazing landscaping to house them around his palace. Guests here enter Moctezuma’s zoo, with a collection of animals from the heart of the American Continent.
Moctezuma felt he deserved the best, and he had an aquarium built in his gardens. But the aquarium would hold only the animal he found the most interesting, the manatee. Manatees are extremely social animals, allowing unique experiences to unravel.
